Like so many school leaders across the world, Heather McRae, Principal at Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland, laments the loss of excursions, camps and other forms of education outside the classroom as an unfortunate casualty of the global pandemic. A major impetus for introducing EdSmart’s School Organisation System (SOS) into the school was to reorganise the steady stream of forms, permissions and requests between school administration and the parent community that excursions and other such activities demand.
Instead, in 2020, EdSmart’s SOS has taken on an unexpected role, revealing its capabilities to the school in a very different way; one that has met the exacting and pressing requirements that a public health emergency brings.
EdSmart and The Hutchins School – a match made in administrative heaven. The Hutchins School has been using EdSmart’s School Organisation System since 2017 to help establish digital administrative processes and maintain effective communications. Recently, the school has been using the EdSmart and School EasyPay integration to streamline payments and administrative tasks in a way that was previously unachievable.

A big reason why the leadership team at Barker College chose the EdSmart platform was for its speed and efficiency. EdSmart has been the partner of choice for the Brisbane Catholic Education network’s 140 schools since 2017. The EdSmart core modules have supported the automation and streamlining of school administrative functions for K-12, driving cost and wastage minimisation, increasing teacher-student contact time and improving understanding of school relationships through data driven insights.
In late 2018 EdSmart was selected, as part of a consortia with Civica Education, by the Department for Education South Australia, as the technology of choice to support a community of 185,000 students and 30,000 teachers and school administrators.

The Catholic Education Services – Diocese of Cairns (CNS) oversees a network of 29 Catholic schools and colleges, serving over 11,000 students. Their schools span across an incredibly far-reaching region (encompassing 377,000 km2), extending from Thursday Island in the north to Tully in the south and Dimbulah in the west. Digitising administration for international schools
SJI International High School opened its doors in 2007, and was followed in 2008 by SJI International Elementary School. Together, they form part of a group of seven Lasallian schools in Singapore with a history dating back to 1852.
Uplands Primary School and Nursery opened in 1962 in Sandhurst, Berkshire, UK. A National Teaching School, Uplands is lead school of the Forest Learning Alliance and holds an Outstanding rating from OFSTED. Led by change maker and Head Teacher Phil Sherwood, Uplands began using EdSmart in early 2016 as their first foray into digital transformation.
